New Student Housing Tower Breaks Ground in College Station
A new student housing tower in College Station broke ground this month at 250 Church Street, marking the firm’s forth high-rise tower in the college town. Rising 23 stories above the town’s popular Northgate district, the 183,000 nsf project will encompass 148 units and 500 bedrooms. Unit variety is comprised of 1-, 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-bedroom floorplans, including townhomes.
Shared amenities will include a flexible lounge, an expansive rooftop pool and spa deck, modern fitness facilities, and 5,500 square feet of retail space on the ground floor.
Parallel is developing the project along with the rest of the project team:
Architect: Rhode Partners General Contractor – Rogers O’Brien Interior Design – A Royal Interiors Structural – RLG Consulting Engineers Mechanical Engineer – Kilgore Industries Electrical/Plumbing Engineer – Power Design, Inc. Civil Engineer – Mitchell & Morgan, LLP
The building’s massing responds directly to the parallelogram-shaped site and zoning requirements with a compact central core and rounded corners maximizing the floorplate efficiency and resulting in an elegant architectural composition that emphasized verticality.
The student housing tower at 250 Church Street will be delivered in Summer 2027 for the following fall semester.
