Rhode partners hires new designer

December 22, 2020

The firm is excited to announce the hiring of Alexandra Kurek, a talented designer based in Austin, TX.

Alexandra moved to Austin three years ago after completing her master’s degree at Columbia University in New York City. She joins Rhode Partners as a Project Designer with experience working on mixed-use projects including large-scale hospitality, residential developments, and master planning.

“While completing my undergraduate Thesis at Virginia Tech, I became passionate about the effects of architecture on a person’s overall wellbeing,” she says about her background. “Over the last six years, I have done in-depth research on topics including holistic healing, mental health, wellness trends, and global medicine in relationship to design. This led me to launch a community platform, DSGNWELL, where designers and non-designers alike can research, present, and discuss wellness trends in the field of architecture. I am excited to include these passions for wellness and mindfulness in my daily practices at Rhode Partners.”

In her free time, Alexandra enjoys spending time on the lake with her dog, engaging in outdoor adventures, and exploring the city. She also loves local and global travel after studying abroad in places like Europe. Mexico, and India.

With a strong team and a positive outlook, Rhode Partners is looking forward to 2021.

We plan to hire an additional designer with experience in interiors, with more information found here.
