THE LINDEN TOPS OUT

January 27, 2023

The Linden is a new mixed-use residential tower that has now officially topped out at 30-stories at 330 ft. The team, along with local members of the design, development, and municipal communities gathered this week to celebrate this milestone.

Named for Linden Street, the original name of 17th Street, this new building is inspired by Austin’s past and future. Located at 313 West 17th Street, The Linden is in the heart of Austin’s Museum District, just steps away from the Blanton Museum of Art. Inspired by this location, Rhode Partners developed the building’s architecture and interior design program to incorporate museum-influenced detailing and finishes. The 186,000sf building program features 5,000 of mixed-use space, a range of one to three-bedroom units, and 2 two-story penthouses. The array of first-class amenities include: outdoor dining, grilling, and lounge areas; a lap pool and poolside bar; a fitness center and sauna; uninterrupted concierge services; and a publicly accessible art gallery that will feature a rotating exhibition of works by local artists and other local art programing.

Of the project, Brett Rhode, Founding Director of Rhode Partners, says “The design represents the idea that urban living should provide a total experience with a composed, well detailed building both inside and out. Above all this is a solid, dignified building that will provide a beautiful backdrop for living in the city.”

The Linden is scheduled to open in Spring 2024.
